In 2008£¬China Telecom developed steadily and hit its preset targets. The whole group achieved the revenue of 198.249 billion yuan from the main businesses, increasing by 3.0% as compared with that of the previous year. When the initial telephone installation fee is excluded, this revenue is 196.156 billion yuan, increasing by 3.8%. The revenue of non-voice was 89.239 billion yuan, increasing by 27.7% over 2007. The total subscribers to the fixed-line telephone network were 214 million, while 47.38 million was Little Smart subscribers and 35.44 million was the CDMA mobile subscribers. The revenue of Data and Internet service was continuously kept at a relative higher growth rate and the preset customers target has been achieved. The Internet users, including users with the broadband and the narrowband, was amounted to 53.07 million, DDN 160 thousand, CHINAFRN and ATM 90.7 thousand, among which, the revenue generated by the value-added services was 16.977 billion yuan, increasing by 23.3% over 2007, accounting for 8.9% of the total revenue from the main businesses.
